This workshop presents a clinical reasoning model for treating children who have unusual and challenging behaviors involving a lack of modulation of sensory stimuli.  This course will provide an overview of the theoretical foundations of SMD from occupational therapy literature and related neuro­science research and the principle-based model for planning, implementation, and monitoring treatment will be presented: Sensation, Task, Environment, Predictability, Self-Monitoring, and Interactions (S.T.E.P.S. I.)

Legislative Luncheon Annual Meeting Luncheon

Michael Spero, OTR/L, Chairman, Occupational Therapy Licensure Board of Idaho will discuss the proposed Rules and Regulations that will guide the revised Idaho Occupational Therapy Practice Act.

The Idaho Occupational Therapy Association is an approved provider for the American Occupational Therapy Association to offer continuing education in occupational therapy.  Completion of this two-day  course awards occupational therapy practitioners 1.5 CEUs or fifteen contact hours.  Completion of Day 1  awards .8 CEUs or 8 contact hours.  Completion of Day 2 awards .7 CEUs or 7 contact hours.  The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.
